Engineering Team Lead
Descripción
The Engineering Team Lead will lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineering resources within Spain, which may consist of Architects, Developers, Test Engineers, Contractors, etc. The Engineering Team Lead will be providing guidance, support, and career development opportunities while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the engineering team, across teams, and inter disciplines. This role requires planning, managing, and overseeing engineering projects from conception through to completion, developing project timelines and monitoring project progress to meet deadlines. The Engineering Team Lead will work closely with the Product Development Manager to ensure collaboration between all stakeholders involved, to align on project goals and requirements, and to facilitate effective communication between team members and stakeholders. Additionally, the Engineering Team Lead will identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality, developing and enforcing engineering policies, procedures, and standards to align with the rest of the Product teams.

Lead colleagues by influencing their approach, drive innovation, prioritization, planning and monitoring to reach individual and team goals.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers and test engineers providing guidance, support, and career development opportunities.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the engineering team.
Plan, manage, and oversee engineering projects from conception through to completion.
Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed and report on progress & team performance.
Provide technical direction and ensure the engineering team follows best practices and standards.
Work closely with other stakeholders such as Product Management, Cloud Ops, Solution Design and external teams across the business to ensure alignment on project goals and requirements.
Facilitate effective communication between team members and stakeholders.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.
Develop and enforce engineering policies, procedures, and standards.
Seek opportunities and remove obstacles for the team.
Skills, know-how, experience
2+ years' experience as Engineering Team Lead.
Good working knowledge of software development lifecycles and development methodologies, e.g. Scrum, Agile.
Computer Science foundation, with software development background.
Excellent communication skills.
High performance drive to support and facilitate collaboration for effective delivery.

Fluently speaking and writing in both English and Spanish.
Nice to have
Payroll or product knowledge.
Work experience in related role.
Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, and YAML.
Working knowledge of/and experience with Microsoft Azure platform and services.
Working knowledge of/and experience with JS, C# and Angular Framework.
Working knowledge of/and experience with multi-tiered application design and major relational databases, particularly Microsoft/Azure SQL.
Working experience with or understanding of testing techniques and approaches.
Degree holder / or relevant professional qualification desirable.
PMI, Prince2, or relevant other certification.
Scrum master certification.
