Position Description
Olink is expanding rapidly, and we are now looking to hire a Head of Global Logistics. You will be based in our Uppsala headquarters and be reporting to our Supply Chain Director. In this role, you will manage a team of 20 highly dedicated employees, including a team leader, a Distribution Manager, and a Logistics Manager North America.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to manage all aspects of our global logistics and distribution operations. This includes strategic planning, execution, and optimization of our supply chain processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective movement of goods from suppliers to customers and core labs.
Primary Responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing global logistics and distribution strategies to support the company's business objectives and growth plans.
• Overseeing the end-to-end supply chain process, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.
• Optimizing logistics operations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction by monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators to track the effectiveness of logistics and distribution activities.
• Leading and mentoring the logistics and distribution team, fostering a culture of (LEAN) continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Driving initiatives to improve both internal processes, from warehouse management to distribution handling, ensuring operational efficiency across all stages.
• Driving initiatives for sustainability and environmental responsibility within the logistics and distribution functions.
• Managing and developing the team as well as hiring new staff.
• Budget and work environment responsibility.

Qualifications/Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in logistics, distribution, and supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing global operations.
• Strong knowledge of international logistics, transportation modes, and global supply chain practices. Proven experience in developing and implementing logistics and distribution strategies.
• Experience from Life Sciences is highly beneficial, or an industry with similar supply chain challenges (biological material, frozen material etc.).
• Proficiency in logistics management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a must.
• Fluent in communication (speaking/read/write) in both Swedish and English.

As a person you should be a self-motivated, and pro-active leader with the ability and interest in developing employees, teams and processes. You should have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities and be able to communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams and different stakeholders. Finally, it is equally as important to be successful in this role to have a results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
