The position is based in Zurich for a fixed-term period of 12 months.
YOUR WORK DAY
I. Sales Support
Time allocation: 50%
With the introduction of CAM, the business development officer’s role has evolved to focus mainly on supporting CRM’s during the prospection phase. Prospection can take place towards new potential clients but also towards existing clients. A good rule to differentiate between sales support and CAM is to look at the assets to which the tasks are linked: if assets are already invested with us, it’s CAM, if it concerns (potential) NNC, its sales support.
All activities that are linked to assets already invested with us are the natural habitat of CAM. This is the case for “CAM lead” and “CAM support” clients, the majority of our clients. CAM Lead clients are clients with no cross sell opportunities. CAM Support clients are clients who have further cross sell opportunities. There is one exception: “CRM Lead” clients. These are typically Tier 4 clients that are serviced only by CRM’s or business development officers, also with regard to assets already invested with us.
Sales support tasks consist of:
    Agree with CRM for which clients you have a supporting role and for which clients you can be in the lead (for example some Tier 4 clients).
    Assist CRMs in broad business development projects (including analysis of a client segment, our competition and our own product offering).
    Help prepare client presentations (PPT) that focus on selling (portfolio review presentations on assets already invested with us are for CAM).
    Process ad hoc questions from clients following sales pitches (questions from CAM lead and CAM support clients on AUM already invested with us to be dispatched to CAM).
    Assisting CRMs with RFPs: active participation in RFPs and ensure on time delivery of RFPs with a high quality standard. Coordinate with RFP team or complete the RFP autonomously if we cannot use RFP team resources.
    Prepare and maintain account plans for key clients and prospects (tier 0, 1 and 2) including Blue Sheets for specific opportunities. Liaise with CAM for CAM Lead and CAM support clients.
    Make sure client folders (shared drives) remain up to date with IMA’s, onboarding docs…
II. Other tasks
Time allocation: 50%
1. Office management
    Taking client calls and messages when the CRM’s are not available
    Make sure KYC is done by the Lux KYC centre. If our new client is already a client at BNPPF, KYC passporting should be applied by the Lux KYC centre.
    Be the liaison with all kind of our internal stakeholders (eg Legal team, Compliance, Risk, Finance, etc.)
    Coordinating/Coaching of the AM Graduate Trainee
2. Marketing / Events:
    Organization of Portfolio Managers roadshows and group client events (logistics and client chasing if needed)
    Invite clients to Web Video Conference and other Fund Manager conference calls
    Preparation and ordering product presentations for roadshows / 1to1 meetings
    Supporting CRMs during roadshows and events on the spot
    Coordinate and monitor our participation to various events we sponsor (Fund Fair in Zurich, Citywire conferences and a few others)
YOUR PROFILE & SKILLS
    Graduated from University in Banking/Economics/Finance + relevant work experience in Asset Management
    Strong interest in the area of asset management and sustainable finance
    Strong communication skills and service-oriented attitude to work
    Attraction for client/human contact
    Fluency in English and advanced German or French is an advantage
    Distinctive IT user skills (Excel, Power Point)
    Self-motivation combined with team working skills and ability to establish sustainable relationships with internal contact people
    Ability to set priorities, be flexible and well organized
