FMI Project Specialist (FMIA, EMIR, MiFIR)

We are seeking an experienced FMI Project Specialist (FMIA, EMIR, Mi FIR) to join our client, a prestigious Swiss private bank. This role is critical in analyzing business needs, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring effective implementation of compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Gap Analyses: Assess regulatory guidelines to identify and address compliance gaps.
  • Define Business Requirements: Translate regulatory needs into detailed business requirements and solution specifications.
  • Documentation & Technical Coordination: Prepare comprehensive business specification documents, create and manage JIRA tickets, and work closely with technical experts.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Organize and lead workshops and meetings with stakeholders across departments, including Front Office and IT.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Perform system and user acceptance testing, documenting results and communicating findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze complex business processes to identify areas for efficiency and optimization.
Your Profile:
  • Regulatory Expertise: Proven experience with financial market infrastructure regulations, particularly EMIR, Mi FIR, FMIA, and SFTR.
  • Capital Markets Knowledge: Strong understanding of capital market products, including ETD and OTC derivatives, and familiarity with trade booking processes.
  • Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of Avaloq; familiarity with Prime/Front-Arena is a plus.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Highly analytical, with the ability to interpret and optimize technical processes.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Ability to work well in a team, with a strong service orientation, excellent communication skills, and experience in a support-oriented role.
  • Self-Motivated: Capable of working independently, driving projects forward, and adhering to deadlines.
  • Effective Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to lead discussions and align cross-functional teams.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential.
