M&A Manager, Large-Cap Private Equity-backed Pan-European B2B Food Platform, Zurich, Switzerland

About our client

Our client is a premium frozen food group headquartered in Zurich, operating a B2B model across Europe. Originally founded decades ago by an entrepreneurial Swiss family, the business has evolved into a diversified holding company active across 3 verticals, which the new private equity owner plans to continue expanding further, both organically and inorganically.

The company is looking for an experienced M&A Manager to join their senior team. In this role, you will have significant autonomy in your work: challenging and developing the buy and build strategy, and executing M&A transactions, owning all parts of the process, from sourcing to post-merger integration.

The job is located in Zurich, and requires regular travel across Europe when needed. What the job involves

• Co-design the expansion strategy along with the CEO, CFO Head of Strategy & Business Development and the Board
• Strengthen industry networks and build the deal pipeline, both proprietary and via advisors across Europe
• Lead M&A processes from sourcing to initial offer and closing, carrying out deal evaluation and diligence, building supporting documentation and organising all workstreams
• Post-acquisition: tracking of defined targets, measures & synergies during the integration phase

Who we are looking for

• Proven experience in M&A with a demonstrable end-to-end buy side transactions deal record
• International M&A experience, preferably in the consumer and/or food industry
• Higher level communication & influencing skills, able to build and maintain strategic business relationships
• Fluent in English and German, other (southern) European languages an asset
