This is a temporary Mechanical Engineering position for 3-5 months located at our EMEA office in Burgdorf Switzerland.
Tasks:

• Planning of switchgear systems, including control and electrical safety systems
• Creating circuit and wiring diagrams
• Editing cable lists and terminal diagrams
• including the associated documentation
• Creating and maintaining manuals
• Support in the "costing phase":
• Which customer requirements can we fulfill?
• Which electrical components are suitable?
• Knowledge of industry standards and guidelines
• (CEI EN 60204-1, 61439-1,2, 13849-1,2, 12100, ATEX and IECEx)

Product maintenance and optimization of existing products and documentation
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3-5 years of work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills:
Strong CAD skills with proficiency in Solid Works and Auto CAD or Draft Sight (preferred). Competence is Microsoft Office is required. Understanding of PDM, FEA, and inventory management software is a plus.
Preferred Experience:
Strong ability to analyze complex problems and develop commercially viable solutions while minimizing risk and maximizing return on investment.
Language Skills:
Must be able to speak, read, and write English. The ability to read, analyze and interpret technical manuals and procedures. Ability to write business correspondence and procedures.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense thinking to a wide range of practical problems. Ability to analyze and solve problem. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in verbal, written or diagram form.
