Why we need you
Opn is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to lead and elevate our compliance program. We're a dynamic company in the payments industry, and as we grow, so does the complexity of the regulatory landscape we navigate. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring we not only meet but exceed all compliance requirements, safeguarding our reputation and fostering trust with our customers and partners.
What you will be doing
- Manage and monitor the company's compliance program, ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and policies related to card schemes, payment services, AML/CFT, and personal data protection.
- Provide expert guidance on compliance matters, support AML/CFT and KYC efforts, and assist with implementation of new products and services.
- Maintain relationships with regulatory authorities (BOT, MAS, BNM, AMLO), file required reports, and stay updated on changes in the regulatory landscape.
- Identify and assess compliance risks, develop mitigation strategies, and lead incident response efforts.
- Manage and mentor compliance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Conduct regular compliance risk assessments to identify and prioritize potential risks.
- Oversee the compliance training sessions for employees to raise awareness and understanding of compliance obligations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure new products, services, and initiatives comply with regulatory requirements before launch.
You
- At least 5 years of compliance experience in the payment and/or banking industry.
- Bachelor's degree in law, business, finance, or a related field.
- Ability to converse in English and Thai on a professional level (written & spoken).
- In-depth understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including card scheme rules, payment services regulations, AML/CFT laws, and data protection regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, building a culture of compliance and ethical behavior.
- Effective communication skills (written & spoken) with the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Ability to understand complex system flow and keen to learn new technology, multitask while meeting tight deadlines and be able to work in a challenging fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
- Relevant compliance certifications (e.g., CAMS) are a plus.
- Experience in the Fin Tech sector is an advantage.
- Experience in managing compliance-related projects is an advantage.
