Field Applications Engineer

We’re looking for a Field Applications Engineer to help our client boost their product in miltech. You will work with a software and robotics company specializing in robotic solutions for demining territories.

They provide cutting-edge solutions for challenging environments, with a strong focus on supporting and improving field operations. Their goal is to revolutionize safety and functionality for critical applications across various regions and industries.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Applications Engineer to join our client’s team and become the first line of support for their autonomous vehicles in the field. This role combines technical support, hands-on demonstrations, and on-site training to ensure optimal performance and smooth operation for the end users. As the bridge between the development team and the field, you will directly influence product development and user satisfaction.

What you’ll do in this role
  • Provide on-site support for the vehicles, assisting operators with setup, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of the robotic systems.
  • Conduct demonstrations to showcase the features and capabilities of autonomous vehicles.
  • Deliver training sessions to equip end-users with the knowledge and skills to operate robots effectively and independently.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for field support, addressing technical issues and coordinating with the engineering team to escalate more complex problems.
  • Gather feedback from operators and field teams to inform ongoing improvements in product design and functionality.
  • Maintain regular communication with the product and engineering teams to update them on operational insights and field performance.
We’re looking for
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel without significant restrictions (within reasonable limits).
  • Engineering or technician background with proficiency in both software and hardware troubleshooting (coding experience is not required, but a strong technical foundation is necessary).
  • Proficiency in English for communication with an international team.
  • Fluency in Ukrainian to interact with local operators and clients.
How to knock our socks off
  • Familiarity with the demands of working with advanced technology in challenging environments.
  • Background in robotics, with knowledge of ROS or ROS2 for troubleshooting and understanding system behavior.
  • Strong connections within the armed services, facilitating trust and ease of integration within military settings.
