HEKS/EPER employs around 600 full-time staff members. Its work is guided by the vision of a just world where peace prevails, the dignity of all people is respected, and natural resources are preserved. HEKS/EPER is active in 25 locations in Switzerland and 30 countries worldwide, running more than 380 programmes and projects with a total volume of 138 million Swiss francs. Within the framework of Agenda 2030, the organisation focuses on four priority themes: "Climate Justice," "Right to Land and Food," "Asylum and Migration," and "Inclusion." HEKS/EPER also provides humanitarian aid to victims of natural disasters and armed conflicts, aiming to bring about change at the social, economic, and political levels. HEKS contributes to improving the living conditions of people both domestically and internationally, advocating for their rights. It raises awareness and mobilises society, politics, business, and churches. In 2023, around 16 million people benefited from the work of HEKS/EPER.

With the ongoing conflict in Ukraine following the Russian invasion on the 24th of February 2022, 6.5 million Ukrainians (approximately 15% of the population) have been internally displaced while 3.3 million (approximately 8% of the population) have fled to neighboring countries. Major population centers are under siege with civilian infrastructure heavily damaged. Basic commodities are becoming scarce with critical services facing significant strain.

MEAL Coordinator, UKR, 100%
Your main responsibilities:
As MEAL Coordinator, in close coordination with the program managers, you contribute to the daily monitoring of the successful operation of programs and support services, and you report to the Deputy Country Director.
To be successful you bring:
- You assist the Program Managers in the implementation of programs
- You contribute to the effective monitoring of programs (attainment of objectives, monitoring of indicators, in compliance with the schedule of activities, budget monitoring, contractual report...)
- You alert the Program Managers and Deputy Country Director in cases where discrepancies in the execution of programs would be identified and proposes adjustments (at the level of activities, intervention area, budget, implementation schedule...)
- You directly assist the Grant coordinator in external and internal reporting on the delegation
- You assist the Program manager with the training and supervision of teams
- Proofed experience in Monitoring and Evaluation, especially in emergency contexts and grant funded projects, is critica Proven experience in establishing a fully functional MEAL system for an organization that’s supported by bilateral & multilateral international donors. Priority given to those with experience in multi-country response settings
- Proven experience in leading mixed-methods data collection activities from needs assessment to report writing
- Thorough knowledge of Sphere, Core Humanitarian Standards, human rights, DNH, DAC evaluation criteria are essential
- Thorough knowledge on the humanitarian coordination system and the cluster approach.
- Experience in reporting to donor
- The position requires ability and willingness to travel in the field of operation in Ukraine.
- Ability to establish collaborative relationships with staff, beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
- Strong attitude to take initiative, work autonomously and achieve results effectively.
- Flexibility and Stress-management
- Fluent English skills (written and spoken)
- Knowledge in Ukrainian or Russian languages are welcomed
- A national or international position with a duty station in Kyiv, Ukraine
