Security Engineer

- Design, implement, and manage security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), MDM, SIEM and endpoint protection systems.
- Design, implement and manage configuration & hardening process.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and guidelines to protect company assets.
- Collaborate with software development, IT, and Dev Ops teams to integrate security best practices into product development lifecycles (Dev Sec Ops).
- Maintain and monitor security systems.
- Lead incident response efforts, including detection, containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Ensure compliance with security regulations, standards, and best practices (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
- Stay up to date with the latest security trends, technologies, and threat intelligence.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Security Engineer, or similar role.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, encryption techniques, endpoint protection and security architectures.
- Experience with security technologies, Including Firewalls, Endpoint Protection, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and IAM solutions.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows, Mac OS), cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft security toolsets (Microsoft Defender for Endpoints and Cloud Apps, Conditional access policies, Microsoft Entra)
- Experience in Security logs, events correlation for incident management purpose.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, OWASP, CIS).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during security incidents.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- English upper-intermediate.
