We are a distributed Soft Serve team, collaborating with a US-based customer. They build smart shopping carts powered by deep learning and computer vision to enable a seamless grab-and-go retail experience. Retailers purchase intelligent shopping carts; the entire store is upgraded with cashier-less capabilities! Our cross-functional and durable product team solves hard customer and business problems in ways our customers love.

IF YOU ARE

• Having at least 6+ years of commercial experience with Android development
• Experienced with performance optimization on Android
• Aware of web accessibility concept
• Skilled in Android development technologies such as Kotlin and Java
• Familiar with both Rx Java and Kotlin coroutines
• Competent in Android Jetpack libraries and frameworks: Compose, Room, MVVM
• Confident with rigorous unit testing
• Effective as a team player, collaborating and influencing cross-functional teams

AND YOU WANT TO

• Work from 12 to 9 PM Kyiv time
• Architect, design, and develop scalable and robust Android applications
• Identify, prioritize, and implement performance improvements for the Android experience
• Design and implement systems to analyze and monitor performance at scale
• Contribute to team performance best practices via daily communication
• Guide QA teams on cart automation efforts
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design and propose best-in-class business and technical solutions
• Be a solid contributor to the development team, ensuring code quality, performance, and adherence to coding standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, data scientists and other engineers to build the software systems that support today’s customers and tomorrow’s growth
