Our client is a US-based company that owns a Platform that delivers unmatched value for contractors, providing greater control, deeper insights, and enhanced service to your customers. Together with the client, we work on assessing the transition from a monolith to a microservices architecture.
Customer monolithic PHP application, with over 1 million lines of tightly coupled code, is causing significant challenges in stability, maintenance, and the speed of new feature development. The complexity of the monolith results in frequent bugs and slow development cycles.

IF YOU ARE

• A software engineer with at least 4 years of experience in PHP development
• Skilled in logical and functional decoupling
• Familiar rapid assessment executions
• Knowledgeable of SOLID and design patterns
• Adept at UML documenting, its components, and activities
• Familiar with using PHP on large platforms
• Capable of maintaining business communication with clients in English

AND YOU WANT TO

• Perform architecture and code analysis: conduct a comprehensive assessment of the existing infrastructure (in the scope of platform deployment) and its readiness for microservices adoption
• Conduct stakeholder Interviews: schedule and execute interviews with key client subject matter experts to gain insights into the challenges and requirements of the future infra, platform, and code base
• Perform NFR exploration on the existing infra (in the scope of platform deployment) and QA targets for improvement
• Design the target microservices architecture, detailing the components, data flows, and interactions within the proposed system
• Evaluate potential technologies and platforms that can be incorporated into the new platform architecture, including compatibility with AWS and other third-party services
• Develop a detailed adoption plan outlining necessary tasks, deliverables, and milestones for the monolith decoupling
