Position Summary: The Joinery Carpenter will be responsible for crafting, installing, and repairing wooden structures and fixtures in residential and commercial fit-out projects. This role involves working from blueprints and specifications to create high-quality joinery that meets client expectations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:

• Woodwork & Joinery:
• Construct, install, and repair wooden structures such as doors, windows, cabinets, and shelving.
• Interpret and work from technical drawings and blueprints to create detailed and accurate joinery.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wooden components with precision.
• Site Work:
• Perform on-site installations and adjustments, ensuring all work is completed to high standards.
• Collaborate with other trades and contractors to coordinate and integrate joinery work into the overall fit-out project.
• Quality Control:
• Inspect and evaluate completed work to ensure it meets the required specifications and quality standards.
• Address any issues or defects in joinery work promptly and effectively.
• Material Management:
• Select appropriate materials for each project based on quality, durability, and cost considerations.
• Maintain an organized and efficient workspace, including proper handling and storage of materials.
• Safety & Compliance:
• Adhere to safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
• Follow all company policies and industry standards for joinery and fit-out projects.
• Customer Service:
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
• Provide professional and courteous service, ensuring client satisfaction with finished work.

Additional Duties:

• Participate in regular training and development to stay updated with the latest joinery techniques and technologies.
• Assist in estimating project costs and timelines as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the project manager or supervisor.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent. A vocational or technical training in carpentry or joinery is preferred.
• Proven Experience as a joinery carpenter, ideally with 3-5 years of experience in a fit-out or construction environment.
• Trade Certification or apprenticeship completion is advantageous.

Skills & Competencies:

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using carpentry tools and machinery, including saws, drills, and sanders.
• Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in measurements and craftsmanship.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to address and resolve issues related to joinery work effectively.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Time Management: Efficient in managing time and meeting project deadlines.
