The Pavilion, Glasgow is an exciting, fast-paced environment with a variety of entertainment, and we are looking for extra Staff for our busy Autumn & Winter season.

Job Advert: Box Office Team Member - Zero Hours
Reporting to: Customer Experience Manager
Shifts are flexible/variable including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

About the Role
The main responsibilities of the Box Office Assistant will be:
    Effective use and maintenance of the ticketing database and systems
    To set up and provide accurate sales reports
    Manage ticket requests from companies, charities, promotions, and membership schemes
    Excellent customer service including dealing with general enquiries, booking tickets and hospitality and maximising sales
    Promoting and achieving membership levels
    Cross training within other departments
    This is not an exhaustive list of duties. from time to time, you may be required to undertake such alternative or additional duties which will commensurate your skills, experience, and capabilities. Collaborate with the team to ensure the delivery of events, implement service standards, operating procedures e.g., scanning tickets, showing customers to their allocated seats, housekeeping, Box Office support and setup of our event spaces.
    Keep a high and consistent standard of appearance, ensuring that the theatre’s image is always maintained.
    To liaise with the Customer Experience Supervisor, ensuring the smooth operation of all hospitality led events.
    Actively participate in TE training programmes and attend training courses as required to further self-development.
    To complete any other delegated task that may assist the company in achieving its business objectives, as required by the General Manager, or Customer Experience Manager.

About you / requirements

    Passion for theatre / live entertainment, knowledge of surrounding area
    An exceptional eye for detail for written & numeracy. Strong communication & listening skills when dealing with guests and all colleagues.
    Willingness to learn new skills.
    Can do attitude with the ability to work effectively during busy times promoting great team spirit.


Your Experience
    In the customer service field
    Proven ability to adapt to the business needs and work calmly under pressure.
    Experience working in theatre or an entertainment venue.
    Provide excellent customer service and can effectively deal with criticism and complaints
    Flexible to adapt to the business needs and work calmly under pressure
    Have a basic knowledge in current health and safety, (training will be given in these areas)
