Join us as a Business Design & Solutions Lead

• This is a high profile role in the Operations Centre of Excellence that will see you supporting the ongoing definition of the bank wide Operations strategy alongside key business stakeholders
• We’ll look to you to define and mobilise key components of the Operations strategy in partnership with senior Operations leaders and key supporting functions such as Technology and D&A

What you'll do

As a Business Design & Solutions Lead, you’ll play a leading role in driving innovation across Operations and identifying and designing new opportunities that will allow us to execute and deliver on the five year strategic vision for Operations. You’ll make sure that all solutions align to the bank’s strategy and the franchise and functions’ five year plans.

You’ll create, shape, define and own pan-operations and individual franchise opportunities that support delivery of the Operations five year strategic plan and develop the associated business case, securing sign-off and approval of the same from all major stakeholders.

More specifically, you’ll:

• Work closely with key stakeholders across the business to create, shape, define and own pan-operations and individual franchise opportunities
• Make sure that all designs are compliant with all the appropriate governance and policies and in line with the bank’s risk management appetite
• Manage the programme design and associated working groups and project teams to provide strategic direction and leadership
• Understand the impact and associated risks that other programmes may have and manage any associated dependencies

The skills you'll need

To thrive in this role, you’ll need a background in business design and have experience of delivering strategic programmes that support a business strategy and its growth agenda. You’ll have a track record of designing and delivering end-to-end innovative designs and solutions within Operations. You’ll be a trusted partner to senior stakeholders and have the ability to influence them with your ideas and concepts and secure the buy-in of all key decision makers.

In addition, you’ll need to be resilient, creative and free thinking and be prepared to challenge status quo and the conventional ways of doing things. You’ll be comfortable in analysing data and operating in an environment with ambiguity and have sound decision making skills.

You’ll also demonstrate:

• Experience developing compelling strategies that are tangible and grounded
• Experience of working with senior stakeholders in the design, shaping and mobilisation of innovative solutions in an operational construct
• Familiarity with multiple data sources and the ability to leverage those data sources to create insight and inform, both strategy and execution
• Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills
• Critical thinking skills, enabling you to cut through complexity, and make sound decisions and recommendations that are carefully balanced against risk
