Our Finance team play an essential role in ensuring our accounts are managed effectively to allow the successful operation and growth of our business.

An opportunity has arisen for a Credit Controller to join the team at our Hesslewood offices.

Key responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Downloading cash from the bank and posting in SAP (multiple currencies)
  • Effective cash collections (emails/calls/customer relationships) to minimise overdue balances
  • Liaising with internal teams to find solutions for late payments and order/deliveries blocks
  • Credit checking new Customers and performing ongoing reviews for existing Customers
  • Proposing (obtaining approval) and maintaining accurate credit limits and payment terms
  • Following Credit Policy, working instructions and other Company Policies
  • Assisting with month end reporting and other ad hoc requests

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility of 2 remote working days per week. We would be looking for a suitable candidate to join the team around December 2024

Essentials:

  • Proven knowledge and experience of working in a credit control department
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of building effective working / customer relationships
  • Attention to detail to ensure work is produced to a high standard and communications / notes are accurate and up to date at all times
  • Good planning and organisation skills are required, as is self-motivation to ensure tasks are completed to deadlines set
  • A flexible ‘can do’ attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to change as business processes/systems evolve
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in English and Maths at grades C or above

Desirables:


  • Experience of using SAP
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel)
  • Credit Checking experience
  • Knowledge of Financial Accounts
  • Experience with Global customers
  • Experience of multiple currencies
  • Knowledge of payment term methods (Secured terms)
  • Credit Management or other Finance qualification (e.g. AAT)
