The Role
As a Planner, you will work closely with our Flow Operations team to:
- Prioritize and schedule maintenance and installations to meet contract obligations
- Create daily and weekly plans for field crews using Ulysses, land registry data, and traffic permits
- Manage and log incoming data, including field crew site sheets, photos, and paperwork
- Produce route plans and group maintenance tasks to optimize logistics
- Create and apply for traffic permits using tools like Map Info, Google, and field crew input
- Prepare Land Entry Notices (LENS) using GIS software based on site and land registry data
- Liaise daily with field crews to ensure smooth operations and address any issues
- Track crew performance and assist with future development and testing of scheduling software
- Communicate with external clients and stakeholders as needed
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and scheduling systems
- Experience in scheduling, logistics, or planning
- A proactive and adaptable approach, able to manage changing demands and priorities
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail
- The ability to work under pressure during busy periods
- Experience with Auto Route, Map Point, or GIS systems (Map Info)
- Knowledge of NRSWA regulations and traffic management processes
- A competitive starting salary of £24,960
