The Role
We’re currently seeking a Project Manager to join our growing team. Based initially in our Leeds office, with flexibility for remote working, this role offers the opportunity to manage a variety of Flow Monitoring projects across the UK and Ireland.
As Project Manager, you will lead and manage both short- and long-term Flow Monitoring projects, which involve the measurement of water depth and velocity through pipelines. You will play a key role in ensuring that our wastewater network operates efficiently by combining this data with rain gauge information.
Key responsibilities:
· Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
· Work closely with the Commercial Manager and clients to define project scope, plan resources, and mobilize site teams.
· Oversee project finances, client invoicing, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
· Collaborate with various teams, including the Workshop Team, Stores Team, and Field Crew, to ensure seamless project delivery.
You will initially manage existing client projects and build relationships to secure repeat business. As you grow into the role, you will be introduced to new clients and may even identify new opportunities based on your industry network.
Role Requirements
We are looking for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and have a keen eye for detail. You must demonstrate professionalism, responsibility, and a strong commitment to excellent customer service.
Essential Skills:
· A strong commitment to managing projects that contribute to improving the UK water industry's infrastructure and reducing pollution.
· Proven experience in managing project finances, including tracking revenue, invoicing clients, and reporting monthly figures.
· A proactive mindset, with a desire for both personal and professional growth in this role.
· Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with internal teams and external clients.
· Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, each at different stages of their lifecycle.
· Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
· Full proficiency in computer systems, including working knowledge of Word, Excel, email, and web-based applications, for preparing and presenting reports.
· Solid understanding of health and safety regulations, with experience in promoting compliance and best practices in line with relevant legislation.
· A valid UK driving licence.
Desirable Skills:
· Experience in the water industry or managing confined space operations.
· IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications.
Benefits and Salary
· Salary: £37,000 to £39,099 (dependent on experience)
· Company car or cash allowance
· Full company benefits package
Working hours are 40 hours per week, with flexibility to meet business needs.
