Position Purpose
As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the local business support service functions. This role covers support for all of Bristol IT which at this times includes both Rheinmetall Defence UK and Rheinmatall MAN Military Vehicles UK along with all and any other businesses on site.

Key Activities

• Contact point for Rheinmetall Germany support teams.
• Advisory point of contact for the business in relation to ensuring information security standards are met.
• Ensure translation of ‘tech’ to common English language to alow the business to make most of all improvements.
• Be responsible for IT inventory / involvement in IT audit and support the wider business where necessary.
• Work with legal to keep up to date with all IT legislation and ensure the business remains compliant at all times
• Responsible for on-site support / hands-on resolutions for all IT queries
• Be responsible for IT inductions for all new-starters
• Support and grow IT supplier relations
• Point of contact for central cyber security
• Point of contact for responding to local cyber security questions or incidents
• Delivering updates and best practices for cyber security for the business
• Ensure best practice on cyber security in line with current guidlines

Experience & Educational Requirements

• Strong IT Background including demonstratable experience of a diverse skillset within an IT department or MSP. Idealy with corporate IT experience working with remote central support.
• Appropriate qualification in IT.
• A Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification may be advantageous.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to details and technicalities.
• Excellent organisational and technical skills.
• Good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills
