What this role is about:
The Market Development Executive (MDE) is a crucial role at Airbox Systems, focusing on generating qualified pipeline within specific verticals such as Aviation or Emergency Services. This position involves building an outbound sales motion from scratch, creating target account lists, and utilising outbound calling, Linked In, and email effectively. The MDE will support getting clients up and running with trials and respond to inbound leads as they grow. The role will involve closing new customers (sub £15k value).
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with the Head of Aviation: Support the research and development of territory/vertical strategies.
- Execute Outbound Sales: Develop and implement outbound sales motions through phone, email, Linked In, and event representation.
- Manage Inbound Enquiries: Respond to inbound enquiries and close SMB deals.
- Pipeline Generation: Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of potential customers.
- Client Trials & SMB Sales: Support clients in initial trials and where required, close SMB customers
- Qualified pipeline creation
- Win rates & sales cycles
- Number of outbound contacts made
- Conversion rate of outbound efforts to qualified leads
- Customer satisfaction with onboarding and initial trials
- All of our colleagues have to pass an NPPV3 clearance; you can find out more about it but a key feature is having the last 3 years living in the United Kingdom.
- Be eligible for work in the UK; we are unable to offer sponsorship
- Recent experience in a similar role
- Significant experience of the Aviation industry
- Proven track record of generating pipeline with a higher-touch, Account-Based approach targeting multiple stakeholders
- Preferable: Experience in closing SMB customers
- Growth Mindset: Always looking to learn and improve.
- Coachable: Open to feedback and eager to develop skills.
- Great Communicator: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Curious: Demonstrates ongoing curiosity and a willingness to explore new ideas.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build relationships and engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Salary; £30,000 base with a commission structure
