Overview
We are seeking an Engineering Technician to join our team in a varied and multiskilled role to install, maintain, and inspect mechanical piping and valve installations and equipment. Opportunities to further develop engineering and technical skills to meet business needs and demands available.
Duties

• Workshop and office base in Basildon, Essex with frequent travel to UK site locations as required.
• Working outside of the UK may be required.
• Monday to Friday for 37.5 hours per week; typically from 07:00 to 15:30.
• Pre-approved overtime may occasionally be available.
• Occasional weekend or night working may be required.
• Right to work in the UK without additional approvals or restrictions.
• Due to access to security restricted areas, successful applicant must pass identity and criminal record checks in due course, with verifiable address(es), employment and/or education history for past five years.
• Good physical fitness, health and stamina.
• Capacity to work in confined spaces (tanks and chambers); full training qualifications will be provided. Must be willing to be clean-shaven when required equipment fit.
• Demonstrate interest, willingness, and determination to learn.
• Demonstrate clear spoken and written English skills.
• Demonstrate effective time management and attendance; with reliable transport arrangements to Basildon.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
• Ability to maintain professional composure and motivation.
• Ability to use typical Microsoft office software and technology.
• Be flexible to adapt working to support client operations or undertake additional tasks and duties as required by the needs of the business.
• Working in engineering workshop, industrial or site environment.
• Competency using hand tools, powered tools, industrial workshop devices, equipment and plant.
• Ability to read and follow technical information and drawings.
• Hold full UK driving licence without restrictions.
• Have relevant or related craft apprenticeship, trade, further education, training or experience.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
