Icotherm Roof Systems
Production Operative/Factory CNC Wood Machinist

Due to growth we have recently relocated and we are now looking for Production Operatives or skilled CNC Operators for immediate start in our fast-paced production department. You will be responsible for producing Icotherm’s timber roof systems utilising our state of the art facilities.
Duties will include but not limited to:
Operate a variety of wood working machines to perform assigned tasks
Programe and operate a variety CNC machinery including timber cutting centre, insulation and panel cutting flat beds and double headed mitre saws.
Perform routine preventative maintenance and daily machine checks ensuring all equipment is working to peak performance.
Report malfunctions or technical repair requirements in a timely manner
Identify and report possible efficiency improvements and improved working practices within your department
Accuartely follow technical manufacturing drawings and specifications.
Follow a busy production schedule ensuring daily production targets are met. Products are produced on time and to the highest of standard.
Ensure H&S policies are followed at all times
Maintain a high level of and daily housekeeping
Other requirements:
Ideally 2 years experience but at least 1 year using automated timber cutting machines required with the ability to program, identify issues and a good knowledge of maintenance procedures. Previous experience in the manufacture timber would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated worker who works well under pressure and in a team, is easily adaptable and willing to cover a variety of processes within our production department.
Successful applicants will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, have a good level of numeracy, exceptional time keeping, great communication skills and a steady work history.
This position offers an opportunity for growth and development in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Hours of work are 7.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday (40 hours per week).
Rate of Pay dependent upon experience. Overtime paid at time and a half.

Pay: £11.00-£12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
