The Cancer Division is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic Project Manager.

The post holder will be joining a vibrant and supportive management team within the Cancer Division at UCLH. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and relaunching the Cancer Academy. The vision for the Cancer Academy is to create a dynamic faculty and educational platform to support the development of NHS staff to meet the workforce needs of the future. As new cancer treatments emerge, and ways of working evolve – the cancer academy will be a key tool in ensuring NCL is in a position to develop the skills of NHS staff to meet these new challenges.

This vacancy has been advertised in accordance with the new NHS pay rate which will take effect from autumn 2024. Please note if your employment starts before the 24/25 pay scales are implemented you will be paid under the 23/24 pay scales and any backpay will be adjusted accordingly. The Cancer Academy Project Manager, will work alongside the senior management team and the new clinical lead for education to form a multi-disciplinary faculty with expertise in both education and cancer care. The role will look at new innovative ways of supporting staff education and developing training that reflects the changing landscape in cancer care.

Excellent project management, financial and communication skills will be essential to the job, and we are also looking for creativity, energy and a ‘can do’ approach. This role will need to design new processes and work autonomously to solve problems, engage staff and identify opportunities.

Successful candidates will have experience of leading projects and change management. Other skills will include a high level of organisational skills, brilliant communication, team-working and problem-solving abilities.
