Sales Support Consultant

About the role
We're looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Sales Support Consultant to join our collaborative SME Intermediary Sales team. As a Sales Support Consultant, you'll have great exposure to our Global Intermediary network and will play a vital role in supporting our Business Development Team and contributing to the success of our business. With exposure to the intermediary market, this is a perfect role for someone wanting to develop and progress into relationship management, Consultative sales and Intermediary management.
At AXA we work smart, this role is non-office based meaning you can predominantly work from home with occasional travel to our Tunbridge Wells office. Once you start there will be an office-based induction period to help integrate you with the team and to collect your laptop and any other relevant equipment. This role brings good promotional opportunities and through our in-house training, coaching and mentoring, you'll be fully supported to help you achieve your full potential.
What you'll be doing:
  • Provide support for the global business development team.
  • Primarily producing and comparing RFQ's and proposals on behalf of Business development team.
  • Setting up of New Business Accounts.
  • Act as co-ordinator between the Business Development & Account Management teams.
  • Attend face to face meetings where required.
  • Liaising with intermediaries on any general admin queries.

About you
What we’re looking for:
  • Experience of working within the IPMI industry either at a broker or Insurance company essential.
  • Excellent relationship building and negotiating skills.
  • Previous experience of working with Microsoft programmes, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Due to the nature of the role it would be ideal if you have sales experience, preferably from a Financial Services background, however not essential.
  • You’ll have great organisational skills and be able to communicate to individuals at all levels.
  • Able to articulate detailed information at all levels.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
