Job Description:
A fantastic new opportunity has become available at Leonardo Helicopters to work as a Semi-Skilled Bench Hand Operative. This is the chance for someone who has not find their path or career as we don’t require any specific skills.

As a Semi-Skilled Bench Operative you will have diverse abilities to operate handheld tools and computer based part marking of components. You will also operate hardness-testing equipment once the appropriate training has been received.

Please note this is JFF level 2 - Manufacturing

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AS A SEMI-SKILLED BENCH HAND OPERATIVE

• De-burring of sharp material edges residual from machining operations to form features to castings, billets, and forged materials
• Hole drilling/countersinking by use of bespoke jig tools
• Blending machining witness marks
• Component identification
• Part marking via methods of: letter stamping, pin stamping, vibro-etching, and ink and varnishing
• Following the listed priority loading boards as directed by the deliveries management/ supervision
• Dispatch completed work to the next operation work centre as stated in the job card
• Monitoring and reporting identified issues relating to quality and conformance with escalation to supervision

This work pattern is set within a double-day weekly shift rotation (Early shift 06:00 - 14:00/Late shift 14:00 - 22:00)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• No specific experience required, only strong work ethic as we offer on the job training
• Ability to complete operations with conformance to the job card and specified process sketches
• Uphold compliance to Quality System Procedures by certifying the fulfilment of the operation by annotating the job card with an assigned operators stamp
• It would be desirable if you had a finesse of using hand tools and powered rotary tools
