Service Manager - Children in Respite and Residential Care

Our homes are in the Manchester, Liverpool, St Helens, Southport and surrounding areas (North West)
Candidate's on the DBS UPDSTE SERVICE WITH A C NUMBER will be given priority over other applicants
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated service manager to be a part of our growing team. You will assist the business in ensuring that each young person has their needs met through effective assessment and care planning. You will be fully supported by an experienced senior leadership team who have years of sector knowledge.
Experience/Transferrable skill is essential. A few qualities that we will be looking for:
· A flexible and ‘can do’ attitude and a willingness to try new approaches to achieve positive results
· An ability to work independently while also be an effective team player
· A positive attitude to be handle challenging situations
Your Role
- Support the business in working with local authorities placing children in our residential homes or our 28 day respite care.
- Liaising with local authorities and social workers to assess the suitability of referrals.
- Monitoring the day to day running of our crisis provisions and ensuring that provision monitoring documents are completed weekly.
- Compiling information from provisions daily paperwork and formulating it into a weekly reports for social workers.
- Ensuring through monitoring that our young people are being offered opportunities to complete activities they may never have had the chance to do before.
- Ensuring staff supervisions are completed on a regular basis along with annual appraisals.
- Attending professionals meetings such CLA Reviews, PEP meetings, EHCP reviews, TAC meetings and placement planning- the candidate must have experience in this area.
- On call on a rolling rota with the current Service Managers and RI & Ops Manager

- Experience working with CCE, CSE, ASD, HSB, ADHD, mental health and trauma.
Required
-Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent
- This role would suit a care professional who has experience of working with children who suffer with EBD. The candidate will have experience of working in challenging environments and will have the knowledge and skill set to support our staff on the ground.
- Experience in a supervisory role within a Care/Support setting
- Knowledge and understanding of issues relating to children and young people with emotional and challenging behaviours.

Our expansion plan involves adding registered homes (we are about to open our first multi registered children's homes) and semi-independent placements to our existing 28-day respite crisis activity-based provisions.

Requirements and Skills
· To work with all professionals, families, and the young people to ensure that their needs are being met
· Candidates must be patient and have good listening skills
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an Ofsted Registered Childrens Home (desirable)
· Must hold a level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Children and young people (desirable)
· Enhanced DBS - On the update system for immediate start
· Must be IT literate
· Full UK Manual Driving Licence – Essential
