We are looking for a Space Analyst to join the Real Estate team at Ericsson. This is a rare and exciting in-house role to drive a deeper understanding of space use and dimensioning in the workplace. This is an opportunity to own and drive improvement of the working environment in Ericsson spaces worldwide!
Ericsson’s Real Estate unit handles all workplaces and properties worldwide including offices, technical space, manufacturing plants and warehouses. Within Real Estate, the Global Workplace Community & Innovation (GWCI) team strives to build a working environment crafted around our employee needs, maximising impact & value by constantly looking to innovate. The design of the physical workplace and home elements needs to be an extension of the Ericsson brand and reflect the diverse backgrounds and needs of our company & employees.
Innovation and experimentation are central to the Ericsson culture, and should be represented by the continuous evolution of the experience created by the workplace. This role will work closely with existing team members and collaborators from across the Real Estate Organisation, to bring new thinking and development on the technical design of the working environment.
What you will do:

Apply real time understanding on the performance of use of overall space, and space types in order to improve dimensioning tools and allowances e.g. space ratios and strategy design standards. Streamlining the feedback loop of space use, functionality and opportunities for improvements.

Work with the GWCI Workplace Design Strategy Lead on the future forward ambition for of the Ericsson workplace, including the global standards- Ericsson Workplace Evolution.

Support review of delivered workplace projects, including the utilization and functionality of space types. Support the Workplace Research team with suitable contributions to develop and innovate performance of workplace. Build data supported recommendations on ways to use space more efficiently and adapting it to meet current and future needs.

Develop space delivery and design tools and processes to ensure dimensioning is aligned to Ericsson’s broader goals on design standards, space metrics, and well-being.

Be a subject matter expert to work alongside other teams with a responsibility towards space management (such as presence and utilisation measurements, space management systems and allocations). Be the go to resource to resolve space dimensioning and design related escalations from project delivery teams.

Interface with Technical Building Requirements owner to ensure updates to space type and dimensioning are correctly reflected in technical delivery standards

Research and challenge existing space standards & assumptions- in accordance with security, capacity, OHS standards, etc.

5+ years experience with proven track record with space management programs or dimensioning (space planning) is critical.
