Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, promoting their independence, and ensuring their overall well-being. The Support Worker will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those in their care.
Duties

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide support with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met.
• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities and provide companionship to enhance their emotional well-being.
• Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with challenging behaviours.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to senior staff members.
• Follow health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in assisted living, care homes, or home care is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
• A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and client needs.
