Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: £12.00 Per Hour + Overtime £15 Per Hour

Active Pathways is recruiting compassionate Support Workers for our BRAND NEW SERVICE at South Grove House in Fulwood, Lancashire. This is an incredible opportunity to join our team and help individuals live as independently as possible.
Working 12-hour shifts on a two-week rolling rota:
  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
About South Grove House
South Grove House is an 8-bed residential care home featuring 3 self-contained apartments and 5 en-suite rooms. Each apartment includes its own kitchen, lounge, bedroom, and bathroom, and has a private entrance. The main house offers shared amenities accessible to all residents.

We specialise in providing recovery and rehabilitation-focused services for people who have complex and enduring mental health issues. By adopting an individualised person-centred approach, we aim to promote self-awareness, personal growth, and provide each person an opportunity to lead a more fulfilled life in the community away from professional services.
The Role
This challenging yet rewarding role involves helping individuals in your local area improve their quality of life, achieve their goals, and make a positive impact. As a key team member, you will empower individuals to progress within their community, develop independent living skills, stay well, manage risks, and ultimately achieve a meaningful and safe quality of life at their own pace.
Our Ideal Support Worker Will:
  • Have knowledge of Mental Health diagnoses and Autism.
  • Understand the importance of person-centered care and promoting independence.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have experience working in challenging environments.
Desired Experience:
  • Engaging with individuals and assisting with daily living activities, social, recreational, and occupational activities, including community support.
  • Working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Promoting positive practices in Safeguarding, Health & Safety, and Mental Capacity within the service.
  • Experience working with autistic individuals and those with mental health conditions, including behaviours that challenge.
