We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, home care, and nursing homes. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and support to enhance the well-being of our clients, ensuring they lead fulfilling lives while maintaining their dignity and independence.
Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Support clients with mobility and physical tasks, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Assist with medication management and adherence to prescribed health plans.
• Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental well-being.
• Implement behaviour management strategies as needed to support clients with specific needs.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in their condition to the appropriate personnel.
• Foster a positive environment that encourages independence while offering necessary support.

Skills

• Experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home settings is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of dementia care practices and first aid is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• Ability to drive is preferred for community-based roles involving client transportation.
• Empathy and patience are essential traits for managing diverse client needs effectively.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and behaviour management techniques is beneficial.

Pay: £11.55-£17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
