We are excited to invite applications from candidates seeking to join us as a Veterinary Receptionist at Vale Vets and Referrals.
What the Role Entails
As a Veterinary Receptionist, your role will include greeting all visitors, handling telephone inquiries, scheduling appointments, and registering new clients in our system. You will manage diaries, verify client and patient information for accurate records, and perform various administrative tasks. Additional responsibilities include processing payments, handling insurance claims, dispensing medications or prescriptions, informing clients about our services, maintaining a clean and organized reception area, and collaborating closely with all practice staff members.
Your Future Team
At Vale Vets and Referrals, we have state-of-the-art facilities consisting of 5 theatres, a medicine suite for ultrasound and endoscopy, a dental room, x-ray, large ward areas with a separate cat ward and treatment room, and separate exotics ward. We also have an onsite CT scanner.
With a team of 40 RVNs, SVNs and hospital assistants, you'll have the chance to work alongside experienced professionals. We are seeking a dynamic individual who embodies exceptional communication skills, ensuring a warm and welcoming first impression for our clients. A positive attitude and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential in our busy environment. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, along with excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Working Hours
This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week), though part-time applications will also be considered. The role requires working five days a week, with the primary shift being the afternoon/evening shift, ending at 7:30 pm. Additionally, you will be required to work one in every five Saturdays, with morning-only shifts.
