We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Receptionist to join our Alderney team on a temporary 12-month basis to cover maternity leave.
Responsibilities include
- Customer care over the phone and face-to-face.
- Arranging and rearranging appointments.
- Requesting payment for services and keeping accurate records of all transactions.
- Keeping the reception area clean and tidy.
- Willingness to engage with the management team to promote company initiatives.
A bit about us
We are a first-opinion small animal practice with a branch in Bournemouth and a branch in Poole. Our sites are fully equipped with digital X-rays and ultrasounds. Our Bournemouth site has in-house lab machines, therapeutic laser, and dental radiography. We are also a Silver Cat-Friendly Clinic.
We are located on the south coast close to great beaches and a short drive to the new forest. We are situated close to Bournemouth and Poole town centre with great transport links.

The perfect fit
You will be an enthusiastic person who is used to working as part of a team and can provide empathy to our clients and their pets when necessary. Previous receptionist experience is desirable, while previous customer-facing experience is essential.
Your shift pattern
This is a part-time position covering 19.5 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday and Friday 7:45 am – 2:45 pm.
The salary for this role is up to £11,600.16.
