MAC Systems Ltd is a small but ambitious security systems business in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. We first established in 1995 as a 2 man access control team, providing services across Northamptonshire.
Now in 2024 we have a team of 16 that implements our expertise across the Midlands, East Anglia & North London.
As we look to shape the company's future, our next goal is to start increasing our manufacturing output of steel and aluminium gates.
We are therefore looking for a professional Fabricator/engineer that's highly efficient, reliable & takes pride in their work.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited too:
The Fabrication and assembly of metal structures and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Reading and interpreting CAD drawings/blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine the sequence of operations. Measure and mark dimensions to ensure accurate fabrication. Cut, shape, and bend metal pieces using various fabrication equipment. Weld or join metal pieces together using various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, ARC. Inspect fabricated products for quality and accuracy. Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
Experience: It is essential to have previous experience in metal fabrication and welding. You should be highly skilled & proficient in welding & use of power tools/hand tools. Have knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques. With an ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings. Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions. Mechanical knowledge for understanding equipment functionality.

Pay: £12.00-£17.00 per hour
