Description

What you'll do:

• Partner with Springfield Fire Department leaders to attract and hire the best candidates and manage internal promotional processes.
• Create and deploy a customized recruitment strategy based on staffing needs.
• Efficiently guide candidates through the specialized selection process and maintain communication by keeping candidates appropriately informed of their status.
• Lead and/or participate in outreach efforts to attract, inform, and source qualified candidates.

What you'll need:

• A proven track record of recruiting talent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated experience interviewing and guiding candidates through a selection process.
• Experience utilizing recruitment tools such as social media and sourcing.

Qualifications and Requirements

Experience, Education, and Training

• Requires graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Public or Business Administration, or a related field;

• One year of professional experience in centralized human resources involving recruitment.
• A Master's Degree in Human Resources or a related area may be substituted for the experience requirement.
• Applicable responsible experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the education requirement, not exceeding two years, when coupled with, at minimum, an active PHR or SHRM-CP certification.

Licensing/Certification

• Valid Driver's License.
