The Railcar Cleaning Manager will be responsible for the planning, developing, implementing, and managing of Mobile Railcar Cleaning operations for the Gonzales Service Center. This position will work with the region Director and VP of Railcar Cleaning to develop and grow Rescar’s cleaning Services business in the New Orleans area. This role will also manage the profitability of the business by integrating critical commercial and operational elements together in a highly effective manner. This role requires out-of-state travel up to 50% of the time, with trips lasting up to two week at a time.

What you'll do:

Provide leadership and training to ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with Rescar and Customer safety policies and procedures.
Develop, acquires, revises, implements, maintains, and monitors railcar cleaning permits, policies, procedures, and programs to ensure standardization and compliance to applicable Federal, State, local, Rescar, and customer requirements.
Provide strategic plans for customers and railcar cleaning personnel to offer all forms of industrial cleaning of railcars (e.g., tank and hopper) to include but not limited to steaming, orbital wash, flaring of gaseous products, hydro-blasting, apply vacuums to tank cars, and chemical cleaning.
Instills a culture of continuous improvement to achieve and sustain industry leading operations.
Work with VP to develop, design, or supervise the design of systems, processes, or equipment for control, management, or remediation of water, air, or soil quality to meet all Local, State, or Federal regulations.
Proactively hire and develop the staff to meet current and future operation objectives.
Meets with current and potential future customers to ensure their needs are understood and met.
Analyzes cleaning operations and develops a plan to increase efficiency and meet customer requirements.
Review and assess the location operation, workload, scheduled car flow and ensure that location assets (e.g., people, processes, materials, measures, equipment, and conditions) are in place to meet productivity and company goals.
Enforces department targets and goals regarding staffing, training, safety, quality, equipment, tools, materials, production and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
Will assist in establishing/assigning performance expectations and hold the team accountable to achieve desired results.
Will interview, hire, coach, and discipline employees involved in Gonzales Service Center railcar cleaning operations.

What you'll need:

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Engineering, Business, Management, or similar field preferred or years of experience.
5 years + of experience managing industrial cleaning operations including staffing, training, and successful performance.
Experience in railcar cleaning.
Experience in Orbital cleaning, non-confined space entry cleaning.
Experience with waste disposal, RCRA regulations and management of waste streams.
Experience in DOT regulations and qualifications.
Ability to lift to 50 lbs. without assistance and up to 100 lbs. with assistance, required.
Ability to work in various temperatures indoors and in outdoor weather.
Ability to travel up to 50% out-of-state.
