The probation supervisor will provide leadership and supervision to probation officers. Will oversee the daily operation for intake, probation, and parole services to ensure optimum customer service. This position also conducts continuous quality assurance to ensure the fidelity of assessment tools, accuracy of court reports, and the appropriate delivery of case management. The probation supervisor provides coaching and guidance to probation officers using strategies designed to improve job performance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience working in the criminal justice system and court proceedings
- Ability to effectively supervise and performance manage employees
- Ability to implement and administer policies, directives, and procedures
- Considerable knowledge of assessments, case plans, and court reports
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and principles
- Ability to conduct quality assurance reviews
- Considerable experience in identifying community resources and services
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- A valid driver’s license is required, or the ability to obtain it by the date of hire

Background & Pre-employment Screenings:

A valid driver’s license is required of DJJ employees to operate a state-owned or leased vehicle.
