The Receptionist/Administrative assistant serves our patients by greeting them upon arrival, checking in/out patients, verifying insurance, handling a multi-line phone system, and assisting in completion of prior authorizations. We have a user friendly Electronic Medical Records system which is complex, but intuitive.
Qualified applicants will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. They will have proficient computer skills and attention to detail. Ideal candidates will preferably have experience as an administrative assistant/receptionist. Prefer experience using an EHR. Duties & Responsibilities include:

• Provide a welcoming experience for our patients.
• Answer a multi-line phone system.
• Maintain patient flow and communication regarding appointment status.
• Verifying insurance
• Collecting payments
• Obtaining prior authorizations
• Answer patient questions
• Ability to multi-task

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities include:

• Minimum 2-year experience in Health Care preferred.
• Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office products, Windows environment, and strong keyboarding skills. Prefer experience using an EHR such as MDI.
• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
• Willing to help in all areas, have flexibility and effectively work in a team environment.
• Professional appearance, strong interpersonal skills, and patient confidentiality.
• Pre-health professional students strongly encouraged to apply

Small retina specialty office seeks a professional and organized receptionist/administrative assistant. We are a friendly office with a high standard of service and follow through. Because we are a small office there will be some overlap of skills in the front and back office with the philosophy that everyone helps each other out.
