Resort Events & Programming Manager

The Manager of Resort Events and Programming is responsible for supporting the planning and execution of the guest/member activities and entertainment throughout The Boca Raton.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for elevating guest experiences both indoor and out, thrive on creating memorable holiday and Resort events, and use their creativity to support, develop and implement on activities, partnerships, and events for members and guests.
Manages the Resort’s annual programming calendar. Coordinates a robust schedule of events, holidays, and monthly resort activities.
Essential Functions
Job duties include, although are not limited to:
- Facilitates, coordinates, and collaborates with the Director of Resort Events and Programming on the planning related to the monthly Resort activity schedule for members and guests – coordinating with various departments to ensure a robust daily schedule of spa, culinary, educational, family, and recreation classes; ensures that the operating departments tasked with these activities are kept informed and on schedule.
- Support and develop planning related to the annual special events and holiday calendar which is to be completed by November of each year for the following year.
- Coordinates with all departments to ensure that the annual schedule of special events are seamlessly delivered to our guests/members.
- Creates banquet event orders for each event and resumes for larger events and holidays and ensures communication of events across the properties.
- Responsible for ticketing for all events as well as coordinating with “GEMS”, guest/member check-in at all events and activities.
- Responsible for maintaining financial and program records relating to Resort events, programs, etc.
- Collaborates in conjunction with other Resort and Club departments to create and implement events, and programs.
- Supports the Director of Resort Events and Programming with developing a robust schedule of entertainment in various outlets property wide and communicates that information to guests.
- Manages the publication of “The Current” events in collaboration with marketing’s graphic designer.
- Manages event signage inventory.
- Assumes additional responsibilities assigned by the Director of Resort Events & Programming.
- Attend company training as required.
- Must be available to work evening, weekend, and holidays as needed.
Internal Relationships
Reports to the Director of Resort Events & Programming
External Relationships
Has regular contact with the guest and members of The Boca Raton. Maintains appropriate relationships with these and other constituencies to enhance the image of the Company and the attainment of its objectives.
Qualifications
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Ability to handle multiple, simultaneous, and complex tasks and projects effectively and efficiently.
- Employee development and performance management skills.
- Information research, analysis, and evaluation skills.
- Knowledge of office management principles and procedures.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse operation.
- Practice the highest level of discretion
Education/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree Preferred.
- Prior experience with a luxury Resort, or Private Club with at least 5 years
Physical Requirements
Work tasks are performed indoors and outdoors. Position requires walking and giving direction most of the working day. Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity. Must be able to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 lbs. frequently. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally.
