Position Summary: Under the direction of the Manager, Admissions/Patient Access, this position is responsible to supervise the functions of the Admitting Department to include effective leadership, decision making, following departmental standards and policy guidelines in the absence of the department Manager. Serve as trainer for the departmental staff. Handle employee, patient and visitors' concerns, appropriately escalating issues as needed to upper management. Ensure that processes and policies are in place, employees are receiving effective communication and training information, and the department is run effectively and efficiently.
