Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Under the general direction of the Program Manager, the Team Lead works collaboratively with other local and/or state social service providers and other appropriate disciplines to provide services for survivors impacted by a manmade or natural disaster. The Team Lead will lead a team of Program Coordinators, outreach specialists and crisis counselors in the field. Trains, debriefs, and provides supervision for the outreach specialists and crisis counselors. Uses data to conduct ongoing needs assessment. Coordinates data collection activities and reviews data form submission for accuracy. Provides coordination and oversight of the Program Coordinators’ plan of service. May perform crisis counseling as needed. This position requires 80% travel, flexible hours, and may provide coverage in the absence of the Program Manager
Your Role in Action:
- Provides supervision to designate staff to facilitate optimal supervision in the performance of job duties/activities (includes individual, data input reviews, coaching, etc.)
- Evaluates work performance of staff supervised and institutes written disciplinary actions for substandard performance when needed in collaboration with the Program Manager.
- Monitors compliance with Disaster grant eligibility and service requirements, service provision and documentation.
- Works collaboratively with inter/intra local and/or state social service providers (i.e. HHSC staff, FEMA, and local providers) in providing consultation, continuity, and effective care delivery.
- Provides ongoing consultation for staff regarding procedures, resources, clinical and personnel issues.
- Participates in patient care monitoring to review the quality of care.
- Participates in program audits and completing plans of improvement in conjunction with the Program Manager.
- Provides coverage as needed for supervised staff and arranges for coverage to ensure continuity of services.
What qualifications you will need:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
Experience:
- Must have 10 years’ experience working in a mental health setting with previous crisis experience.
- Ability to effectively lead others.
- Strong communication skills with ability to effectively converse and listen to others and construct clear and concise written communication.
- Ability to identify and offer solutions to resolve problems, using knowledge of the organization to identify helpful resources.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Able to utilize basic Word and Excel documents.
- Must have basic knowledge of principles of the development, implementation and documentation of individualized care and treatment for a wide range of psychiatric conditions.
