About the Role
This position combines testing expertise with business analysis and process mapping skills to provide a comprehensive understanding of system requirements and workflows. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, user-friendly platforms that meet business objectives.
This role will be responsible for:

• Assisting to document business and non-functional requirements for development, and analysis of reported issues and change requests.
• Planning, design, management, execution and reporting of testing activities, as well as defect identification and management.
• Supporting functional testing across various phases of testing including but not limited to System testing, Integration testing, Regression, and Production Verification Testing.
• Designing tests to ensure that key risks associated with the deployments are adequately understood and documented.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
Business Analysis

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into testable specifications.

• Conduct impact analysis for changes and enhancements to existing platforms, ensuring alignment with business goals.

• Engage with users to understand their needs and expectations, advocating for user-centred design principles.

Testing Execution

• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and non-functional requirements.
• Perform testing to ensure the quality of platform features, including regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Document test results, track defects, and work with development teams to facilitate timely resolution.

Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with the frontline, developers, project managers, automation testers and other team members to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.

• Present findings and insights to stakeholders, providing recommendations for process improvements and quality enhancements.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated on industry best practices in testing, business analysis, and process mapping.

• Propose and implement improvements to testing processes and methodologies.

What experience you’ll bring;

• A degree in Information Technology field from a recognised tertiary institution, or other qualifications considered acceptable by Pet Health Insurance Services.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Test Analyst
• Demonstrated experience in creating test plans, test traceability matrix, test case design, execution, defect management, and test reports.
• Understanding of software development methodologies including AGILE/Scrum Continuous Delivery, agile testing.
• Experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, XRAY or similar.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and techniques including but not limited to BDD, TDD, risk-based testing.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A superior level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• The ability to work autonomously while maintaining focus.

Desirable

• Insurance Industry experience
• Experience in requirements gathering and business analysis, especially in relation to system enhancements.
• Well-developed and demonstrated understanding of the legislative, regulatory and compliance obligations relevant to the industry.
• Conceptual understanding of Enterprise Infrastructure/technologies and systems.
• Familiarity with coding or scripting languages is a plus.
