We are excited to invite applications for a temporary part-time Dietitian Level 1/2 position with the Public Health Community Nutrition Team in Nutrition Services, effective immediately until August 10, 2025. This role is an exceptional opportunity for a passionate and dedicated dietitian to contribute to health promotion initiatives aimed at improving nutrition and well-being within the Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) communities. You will play a key role in planning, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based nutrition projects that address the dietary needs of various population groups, all while adhering to the highest professional standards of conduct and ethical practice.
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for managing community nutrition projects that promote healthy food choices and improve nutrition-related behaviors. You will utilize a blend of social, epidemiological, behavioral, and environmental considerations to develop programs that are effective and sustainable. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, engaging with community stakeholders, and evaluating the impact of initiatives to ensure they meet the needs of diverse populations. You will also contribute to the ongoing education and training of colleagues, participate in professional practice supervision, and stay informed about the latest developments in public health nutrition and health promotion.

About You
- You have a Bachelor or postgraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics that provides for full membership of the Dietitians Australia
- You have a driver’s licence and ability to travel across sites within the District and to other external sites as required.
- You have an understanding and application of population health and health promotion principles, alongside knowledge of evidence-based practices, for developing successful nutrition programs.
- You have effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. You must be able to adapt your communication style to suit different audiences and convey information in a clear, engaging manner.
Where you’ll be working
You will be part of the CCLHD Public Health Community Nutrition Team in Nutrition Services, a supportive and collaborative environment focused on enhancing the health and well-being of our communities. Your work will involve engaging with a variety of stakeholders, including local organisations, health professionals, and community groups, to promote effective nutrition initiatives. The role may require travel across different sites within the district and to external locations as necessary, providing you with a broad perspective on community needs and opportunities for impact.
