Are you a Speech Pathologist looking to take the next step in your clinical career? Do you have a passion for working in paediatrics? Central Coast Health is seeking out level 1 and 2 speech pathologists to join our paediatric team on a full time basis.

An Eligibility List (E-List) or talent pool may be created from this recruitment episode to assist in filling future permanent, temporary, or casual full-time and part-time positions.
As a Speech Pathologist you will provide a professional speech pathology service to paediatric clients and outpatients and their family/carers to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for patients.
This position exists within the Paediatric Central Coast LHD (CCLHD) Speech Pathology department and provides speech pathology assessment and management services to paediatric clients across the District (including Lakehaven, Long Jetty, Erina, Gosford, Woy Woy and nominated preschools).

The speech pathologist will work to deliver high quality care in a dynamic team environment and work closely with interdisciplinary colleagues and senior managers within the District to ensure the development and delivery of effective and pro-active speech pathology services.

The position may be rostered across any of the above or other CCLHD facilities and may require delivery of after-hours education.

About You
  • Adherence to Standards: Complies with the Speech Pathology Australia Scope of Practice.
  • Client-Centred Care: Provides high-level, client-centred care in interactions with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Independent Operation: Works independently with minimal supervision, ensuring care meets professional, organizational, legal, and ethical standards.
  • Paediatric Expertise: Manages paediatric caseloads, excelling in assessment, diagnosis, and management.
  • Caseload Management: Effectively handles caseloads, adhering to departmental clinical procedures and guidelines.
  • Professional Engagement: Contributes to the professional network, engages in ongoing education and training, and participates in regular professional practice supervision.
  • Continuous Improvement: Leads continuous improvement initiatives and business plan activities to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
  • Clinical Research: Participates in clinical research activities as required.
