Your Role

You’ll be managing a large portfolio of brokers, handling underwriting for new business and renewals for the CGU brand. Your role involves determining the acceptability, conditions, and pricing of moderate to complex insurance risks, and working collaboratively within the Motor Underwriting team. You’ll build and develop strong relationships with brokers through regular communication and site visits and liaise with the Broker Relationship team to support best practices in account management.

This full-time permanent opportunity offers hybrid working conditions that support a mix of working from home and office. With our offices placed nationally you will have the choice for your base location Naarm - Melbourne or Gadigal Country - Sydney.

About You

Strong collaboration with excellent stakeholder engagement skills
Current knowledge of the insurance industry and products
Experience building and fostering strong relationships internally and within the insurance broker market
Technical capabilities and problem solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to multi-task competing priorities
2+ years of commercial underwriting experience, with a preference for Fleet or Motor experience
