Join Our Team as a Clinical Nurse – Community Midwife!
Are you a compassionate and skilled Clinical Nurse/Midwife with a passion for supporting families through the journey of birth and beyond? We are seeking a dedicated Community Midwife to provide expert, person-centered care in various health service settings.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Holistic Care: Provide comprehensive care and support to mothers and newborns in home settings, ensuring a smooth transition from hospital to home.
  • Assessment & Investigation: Evaluate the holistic needs of mother and baby, performing pre-natal, post-natal, and neonatal investigations as needed.
  • Care Management: Monitor patient care plans daily, overseeing care outcomes and supporting early discharge for uncomplicated deliveries.
  • Education & Support: Offer health education, counseling, and therapeutic programs to enhance health outcomes for clients and their families. Plan and implement prenatal and postnatal education services, helping clients develop realistic expectations of pregnancy, childbirth, and parenthood.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work within pre-determined guidelines in a multidisciplinary setting, selecting and implementing therapeutic interventions and evaluating progress.
  • Teaching & Development: Participate in clinical teaching and mentoring of students and less experienced staff. Assist in maintaining a culture of learning and professional development.
You must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate, with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience.

This is a part time vacancy working 15.2 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
