As Development Engineer you will be part of the Engineering Delivery West team and responsible for the evaluation of development applications and the formulation of engineering policies as they relate to development and make a difference to our city and community.
Your main focus will be on reviewing engineering documentation, engineering requirements and construction standards for development activities to achieve best practice outcomes. You will perform audit inspections, surveillance and quality control of civil engineering works associated with development activities.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A Degree in Civil Engineering, leading to eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia
- Current Queensland C class driver’s licence
- General Construction Induction card
- Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and dispute resolution skills
- Knowledge and appreciation of the long-term goals of Council and a commitment to customer satisfaction and the enhancement of Council’s public image
- Belief in our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency, and leadership
About the benefits
This is a permanent full-time position classified at Level 6 with salary commencing at $100,533.00 and superannuation of up to 12.5%.
