Join a dynamic team at the Museum, where you’ll play a pivotal role in managing the entire accounts receivable and payable functions. As the museum has transitioned to a new cutting-edge financial system in July 2024, you’ll have the opportunity to shape and streamline processes during this exciting phase of innovation. Success in this role means ensuring seamless financial operations by maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, managing payables in line with contract terms, and optimizing the receivables cycle to enhance cash flow.

Key Accountabilities
Under limited direction, this position is responsible for delivering the following functions:
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) & Support Accounts Payable (AP):
- Reconciliations & Reporting:
- System Implementation & Process Optimization:
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
- Cash Flow Management:
- Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement:
Selection Criteria
1. Strong Attention to Detail:
You possess a meticulous eye for detail, ensuring financial data accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures.

With a new financial system on the horizon, you're comfortable with technology and eager to leverage systems to optimize financial operations.

You have excellent communication skills and are adept at working collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations.

You anticipate potential issues and proactively address them, always looking for ways to improve processes and drive efficiency.

You take ownership of your work, meeting deadlines and ensuring that all payables and receivables are managed in line with financial goals.
Qualifications and/or relevant experience required
Mandatory
- Relevant degree or certificate qualifications.
- Experience with Certinia (previously Financial Force) – Salesforce compatible system.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working in finance team – minimum 2 years.
- Experience with Sun accounting System.
- Knowledge of salesforce.

Selection for this position will be made on the basis of relative merit which will be assessed against each item of the selection criteria. Applications that do not address the selection criteria will not be considered for short listing by the Selection Committee. As part of the selection process the selection committee may invite candidates to undertake psychometric test, you should advise the selection committee if you have any special needs. Psychometric tests may be used as the initial short-listing test or later in the selection process. Some tests are very short while others may take one or more hours.
