About the role

The primary role of the Financial Accountant is to ensure all financial information is accurately collected, analysed, interpreted and reported in a timely manner. This role is responsible for month-end close tasks, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, internal project reporting and assistance with statutory tax & financial reporting obligations

This is a 14 month fixed term contract

What you'll do

• Perform month-end financial accounting tasks, including journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with month-end P&L and balance sheet variance analysis
• Assist with preparation of year-end statutory accounts including preparation of audit work papers and audit requests
• Assist with tax reporting obligations including FBT, Workers Compensation and preparation of monthly BASs
• Preparation of externally funded projects reporting and holding meetings with project managers
• Ad hoc duties as required

About you

• At least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
• CPA/CA qualified
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Great Plains, or similar applications.
