The Role:

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Laboratory Assistant to join the team Anatomical Pathology team at Northern Health on a Full-Time basis.

This role would suit either an existing or aspiring laboratory assistant who enjoys working as part of a team to contribute to the production of high-quality work and on-going patient care.
Positioned in the Anatomical Pathology team, the key responsibilities would be (but not limited to); specimen handling and data entry, laboratory investigations, MDM organisation, assisting the Anatomical Pathologists, Senior staff and external and internal clients.

To be successful in this role you will have:

Victorian Certificate of Education or equivalent. Desirable qualification includes certificate/diploma in laboratory techniques or similar.
Previous experience working in a diagnostic pathology laboratory would be highly advantageous and preferable
Previous working experience in administration/clerical work specifically data entry would also be advantageous.
Proven ability to work in a fast-changing environment, working both independently and as part of a team
Have a high attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.
