The Role:
We are seeking applications from suitable Laboratory Assistants to join the team at Northern Health.

This role will be responsible for the receiving, sorting, preparing and transport of specimens for analysis; assisting with the registration of pathology requests into the laboratory information system; performing laboratory investigations and general laboratory duties as directed by senior staff.

This position is ongoing part time 40 hours per fortnight.

This position involves working a permanent part time overnight shift that includes weekend and public holiday shifts. In addition, there will be a requirement to participate in the on-call roster.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Proven ability to work as part of a team
• Must have the ability to work permanent overnight shifts including weekends and public holidays
• Participate in the on-call roster
